K-park is envisioned as a space where history and modernity come together in harmony with nature.
The location is no coincidence. K-park will be situated in the Golden District, the hub for medicine, education, culture and creative industries. The concept revolves around harmony with natural landscape: the architecture will “blend” into its surroundings, creating an oasis in the steppe.
The total landscape area will cover 40,000 square meters - around 20% of current total park space across Almaty Region.
K-park will feature:
-
A themed park with a monument of gratitude, art installations, ethnocultural zones and a museum;
-
A cultural and business center housing the Association of Koreans in Kazakhstan, along with a conference hall, library and exhibition spaces;
-
Leisure infrastructure, including a 5,000-seat amphitheater, a visitor center, sports and children`s playgrounds, cafes, and an interactive AI museum.
The project was initiated by the Association of Koreans in Kazakhstan and is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Koreans' settlement in Kazakhstan, to be commemorated in 2027. The project authors emphasize that Kazakh and Koreans share deep historical and cultural roots. Thanks to the hospitality and generosity of the Kazakh people, Koreans have become an integral part of Kazakhstan`s society while preserving their unique identity.
K-park is expected to become a new landmark in Alatau City - a hub for civic and business initiatives. This project clearly demonstrates how history and culture can serve as powerful drivers of development.
