Kanat Bozumbayev Holds Meeting with Executives of Hong Kong Companies Towngas and Full Vision Capital
Kanat Bozumbayev noted that Kazakhstan remains committed to its energy transition agenda and to attracting international investors and advanced technologies. Alatau City was identified as a priority location for investment projects, offering a special legal regime that provides stable conditions for investors, tax and customs incentives, and support through a one-stop-shop mechanism.
During the discussions, the parties explored the potential deployment in Kazakhstan of EnerVenue’s long-duration energy storage technologies, which could play a key role in ensuring a reliable power supply for data centers and other critical infrastructure facilities. They also discussed opportunities to implement a sustainable aviation fuel production plant based on EcoCeres technologies, as well as projects related to the processing of agricultural products and waste.
Particular attention was given to the development of renewable energy projects and the implementation of Towngas Smart Energy solutions, including rooftop solar power systems and intelligent energy management systems. It was noted that Alatau City, being developed as a modern sustainable city, could serve as a pilot site for the comprehensive deployment of these technologies, with successful solutions subsequently scaled across other regions of Kazakhstan.
Towngas and Full Vision Capital are among the leading international players in the green economy. With a history spanning more than 160 years, Towngas is Hong Kong’s largest gas and energy company, serving more than 100 million customers across China while developing projects in sustainable aviation fuel, energy storage, renewable energy, and semiconductor technologies. Full Vision Capital specializes in investments in high-tech projects related to the energy transition and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing long-term cooperation and agreed to continue detailed discussions on the proposed investment projects.
